The ensemble takes its inspiration from works associated with the cultural epoch of its namesake, creating unique and inventive programmes. Alongside the celebrated pillars of the repertoire, we offer a varied selection of attractive shorter pieces arranged by our pianist John Lenehan who is also renowned for his arranging skills. This includes the group's 'signature' piece, The Prelude to "La Demoiselle Elue" from Debussy's cantata which sets Gabriel Dante Rossetti's poem, and is also inspired by his painting of the same subject.
